Personal Training
Personal training should be about working the body as a whole unit. Too many trainers, or gym-goers will use 'bodybuilding' type exercises, or ineffective machines to try and get results they have seen in magazines. With years of experience and coaching from the best trainers, I have selected those exercises which work, and have put in place a training system, M.R.P.T, Maximise Fat Loss, Re-shape your body, Push your fitness levels further than before, Tone and tighten your muscles to give a firm body.
Intensity is a main factor when getting results. Too many people do not workout with enough intensity. However, I will create a programme for you that works, and will motivate you throughout each workout, to ensure you reach the required effort!!

Kinetic Chain Assessment
Your body works as a movement system, using muscles, ligaments, tendons, bones and the nervous sytem, all dependant on each other for optimum performance and stability. Over time, through injury, poor posture, or sedentary jobs, the body will start to fall out of alignment, impacting on the way your body works and moves. This can often be noticed as pain in a certain area, be it continuous or sporadic; back issues, constant headaches, and general tightness. Without addressing the initial root cause of these defects, the body will continue to perform, albeit incorrectly. This places further stress on the body, and continued movement in this way will cause injury.
After a thorough assessment, I will compile a clear, but detailed report, allowing us to work together, using the most suitable exercises to resolve these issues, thus allowing your body to work as it was created to.

Fat Distribution Profiling
By taking readings from 13 areas on the body via accurate caliper readings, I can work out which hormones are imbalanced, and advise on correctional methods to re-balance these areas. Through doing this you can spot reduce areas on the body. This means no more big hips and thighs, no more chunky arms! You will flatten that stomach, and tighten up those troublesome areas. Many trainers will still tell you this can't be done, that the body will burn fat from where it chooses. Yes, this is the case if you don't know how to assess and correct hormonal imbalances. With this skill we can lose twice as much fat! Sound good?!! You bet!
Online / Email Personal Training
If you wish to continue with your current gym membership, or want an additional workout for home, I can design a program for you that actually works!! Have you found that you have been attending the gym for a few weeks or months, maybe even years, and haven't achieved the results you are after? I will design you a working program specifically for you, which will use functional exercises from my M.R.P.T. training sytem that work!! You will be emailed your program with clear, descriptive instructions, photos and small movies where needed, and tips, on how to achieve your health and fitness goals. Pre and Post Natal Training.
I have helped many post-natal mum's lose weight, get fitter, and reshape their bodies after pregnancy.
Many mothers find they put on less excess weight during pregnancy whilst exercising, therefore making the post-birth goals quicker and easier. The baby's health will also benefit from a healthy mother, and so nutrition and exercise are crucial.
Postnatal is often a difficult time in terms of maintaining the commitment to exercise. Getting to know a baby and how to care for the baby is a rewarding experience, but takes a lot of time. The danger is that the new mum will leave herself no personal time in which to exercise. However, from around 6-8 weeks, it is perfectly safe to return to exercise, and achieve the 3 main postnatal goals of: a return to pre-pregnancy weight, a rapid improvement in abdominal tone, and improved body image. We can achieve this around your time with your new addition to the family! Sports (Deep Tissue) Massage.
Those of you who are regularly active, will further benefit from a sports massage. All of our muscles are made up from a large number of individual fibres, and over time, if not looked after correctly, can bunch together, becoming tight, and often sore. With a sports massage I will manipulate these fibres, focusing on any specific areas of tension. Through specific techniques, I will help to realign the muscle fibres, which in turn aids muscle recovery, and improves the general condition of the muscle. If you have a particular area of tension, a muscle spasm, or a knot, deep friction techniques can be applied to alleviate this 'hyper-irritable' spot. A sports massage will make you feel as though you have a new body part!
